The Andaman Sea offers some of the world’s most exciting, spectacular, varied and unique diving sites. From the Burma Banks in the Megui Archipelago to the Surin and Similan Islands to the Andaman Islands down to dive sites around the Phi Phi Islands expect stunningly clear waters with visibility exceeding 30 metres, myriad underwater life, vivid colours and deliciously warm conditions of around 28 degrees Celsius.

Whale sharks, dazzling fish and healthy, spectacular coral growth are just a sampling of the diving possibilities that await you. We offer daytrips, liveaboards for more distant locations and a whole raft of opportunities, from wall diving to even exploring a shallow-water wreck.

Phuket Daytrips Dive Sites

Anemone Reef

This unique dive-site is a huge lime-stone pinnacle that soars 30 meters up from the seafloor to just beneath the surface then abruptly ends and drops back to a bottom of sand and oyster shells.

King Cruiser Wreck

With it's multiple decks and spacious open areas the King Cruiser wreck is providing sheltered living quarters for large numbers of fish and crabs. Over time it will become an even better dive-site as it takes on a patina of age, and becomes encrusted with a variety of colorful corals.

Koh Dok Mai

This small, jungle topped island is located on the way to Shark Point from Phuket and is considered one of the best wall dives in the area. Doc Mai is a huge limestone rock that rises steeply out of the sea.

Phi Phi Island Diving

The Phi Phi Islands offer a remarkable variety of dive sites concentrated in a small area. One of the most popular dive sites is located at the Southern tip of the small island of Ko Bida Nok. In a shallow bay on the Eastern side of the island are found huge gardens of stag horn and star corals and incredible numbers of colorful reef fish. (Read more...)

Phuket West Coast

Most serious divers will opt for one of the better dive-sites farther offshore but some interesting dive-sites are located off the west coast of Phuket Island and include Patong Bay, Freedom Beach, Paradise Beach, and Bang Tao Beach near the airport. (Read more...)

Koh Racha Noi

Racha Noi is popular for the more experienced diver, as depths are generally greater and the currents frequently stronger than at its sister island to the north. The northern tip features a large pinnacle where spotting larger marine life is distinctly possible, while the southern point is a nice drift dive with the added bonus of having a beautiful little beach to visit during your surface interval. Koh Racha Yai

Racha Yai offers some of the best local year around dive-sites but the visibility varies as to the season. On the north end of the island are two beautiful little bays famous for their a deep clear water and colorful coral formations. Shark Point

Shark Point is part of a Marine Sanctuary and is justifiably the most popular of the local dive sites. Named after the docile Leopard Sharks that are often encountered resting on the sandy seafloor here. The official Thai name for this site is Hin Musang or 'Shark Rock'. (Read more...)

Koh Bon and Koh Tachai

North of the Similans lies Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, the Surin Islands, and Richelieu Rock. All of these areas offer world-class diving that differs from the Similans and should be part of your itinerary when you visit the area. Rays, nurse sharks and hawks bill turtles are some of the stars of these spots.

Richelieu Rock

Surin's ace card is a small submerged rock about 18 kilometres east of Surin. Richelieu Rock, just exposed at the lowest of tides -- thus a navigational hazard for those boats not equipped with a GPS navigation system -- rates as one of the best places in the world for swimming with our gentle giant, the whale shark.

Surin Islands

Surin Islands were designated as a national park in 1981, and are famous for excellent diving and sport fishing. The park office and visitor’s center is located on the southwest side of Koh Surin Neua at Ao Mae Yai, where boats find safe anchorage.

Hin Daeng

Hin Daeng (Red Rock) is located just a few hundred meters south of Hin Muang (southwest of the Phi Phi Islands) and is visited by live-aboard boats operating from Phuket. Only the extreme tip of this huge pinnacle protrudes about the surface. (Read more...)

Hin Muang

Hin Muang, (Purple Rock) is totally submerged and is located just a few hundred meters north of Hin Daeng. This unique dive site is so completely covered with lush purple soft corals that it actually seems to glow, and it attracts the most incredible amount of marine life you will find anywhere. Burma Banks

Close shark encounters are virtually guarantied here. The most common type of shark is the nurse shark that grows to over 3 metres in length. Where else can you go to see tens of large nurse sharks freely swimming nose-to-tail over the top of the reef on every dive, which have so little fear of divers that they sometimes accidentally swim harmlessly (for both parties) into us? Mergui Archipelago

With over 800 islands, some of them the size of Singapore or Phuket, and most of them completely uninhabited, the area has unlimited potential as a playground for divers, yachties, naturalists, and other pleasure seekers.
